What should I do with this Pokemon situation...?

Well, I beat the Pokemon League in Pokemon Diamond, and I haven't gotten Heatran yet, but I don't really care.

I wanted to work on the Pokedex in Pokemon Diamond, but I don't have Emerald, or Leafgreen, and those other games, so it is really hard. I also, really want to get Pokemon Platinum, but here is my question;

Should I get Emerald, and finish that game, then get Pokemon Platinum when it comes out, so once I beat that game, I can do Pal Park, or should I just not get Emerald and wait for Pokemon Platinum. I think the first one, because, I am pretty bored with Pokemon Diamond, but I haven't done the Battle Tower yet.

And, if you want to trade, or do a battle sometimes, just E-mail me, or something. I will probably accept.
